What is a Prompt?

A prompt is just the message you type to an AI. It's how you 'talk' to it! The better your prompt, the better the AI's answer.

Think of it like ordering food: 'Give me food' is a bad order. 'I'd like a cheese pizza with pepperoni, please' is much better!

Good prompts are clear and specific. Instead of 'Tell me about space', try 'Explain how the solar system formed, suitable for a 10-year-old, in 3 short paragraphs'.

You can also give AI a role: 'You are a friendly science teacher. Explain photosynthesis to me step by step.'

Bad prompt:'Tell me about dogs'

Good prompt:'List 5 interesting facts about golden retrievers that a kid would find fun'

Role prompt:'You are a pirate captain. Tell me about ocean waves in pirate speak'
