How Does AI Learn?
AI learns a bit like you do - by looking at lots of examples! But instead of using a brain, it uses maths and data.
Imagine you wanted to teach a computer to recognise cats. You'd show it thousands of cat pictures. Over time, it learns what cats look like!
This is called 'training'. The more examples the AI sees, the better it gets. Just like how you get better at maths the more you practise!
There are different types of AI learning: supervised learning (with a teacher), unsupervised learning (finding patterns alone), and reinforcement learning (learning from trial and error - like a video game!).
💡 Examples
Training data:Showing 1000s of cat photos so AI learns to spot cats
Supervised:Like a teacher marking right/wrong answers
Reinforcement:AI plays a game millions of times to get better
